Take a look at this pre-owned 2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata, Stock: DT31013A. Visit our website for more ...
Had a family member rear end someone with a Miata, being low to the field the crash avoided most of the bumper and went above, taking out the hood. Now there's a part that's damaged which I do not know the name of. On the MX5 which I think is around a 92 it rests in front of the radiator, a ache metal piece that runs from side to side, and is actually where the Hood lock is mounted, would this be considered part of the frame or known by something else?
Also if you appreciate anything about the part would it be best to put it back into a straight position myself or purchase a new one if it's available. If it's part of the frame I'm fairly sure neither of those two are an option.

Have you tried a Grande Punto?2006-05-07 13:50:28 by 55barchetta
My local Fiat dealer loaned me a 1.2 Active Grande Punto for a couple of days while my barchetta was in for repair. It only had 1000 miles or so on the clock and was maybe a bit tight, but still it was gutless, not just for a 1.2, but compared to the earlier 1.2 Puntos that I have driven. Drank petrol too if you tried to make any kind of progress. Nice gearchange though, like most Fiats I've tried and comfortable to drive, though a bit floaty. Quality seemed better that previous models too. I had a look at the 1.9 Sporting 3 door. Not bad though some of the interior detailing was a bit tarty (fake Daytona type seating at the front for example). Worth a look.
I bought my barchetta new last December and the first four months were pretty damned disastrous though once I got Fiat HQ on...
