This 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 442 W-30 Sports Coupe is a 31, 952-mile car that underwent a body-off restoration to show-quality standards in 2005-2006 and hasn’t been driven since. With 502 built, ‘67 W-30s are rare, and pillared sports coupes like this one are even rarer as just 129 were produced. Adding to this car’s uniqueness is the fact that it started life as a specially ordered Olds test car and saw use at the division’s proving grounds for a short time before being raced at NHRA events, where it had the benefit of engine prep by Oldsmobile Product Development and suspension modifications done by Olds proving ground employee Dale Haas. Haas has provided a letter documenting the car’s history. It is available in Southeast Michigan for $89k.
The W-30 option was introduced for 1966 to comply with NHRA rules requiring factory-built drag racers in sanctioned events and to make the 442 more competitive against other muscle cars. The option was obscure, however, and just 54 W-30s were built that year by the factory though dealer conversions were available. The package reportedly turned these cars into real beasts with additions such as a Force-Air induction system, a hot cam for the 400-cubic-inch V-8 and suspension modifications that included revised shocks, springs and sway bars as well as boxed rear control arms. In addition, the battery was moved to the trunk for better weight distribution. The car comes with two sets of wheels and tires: the stock rallye wheels with radial T/As shown and period-correct American Racing mags with Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires. We think it looks great as it sits. The car was professionally appraised in 2007 (the appraisal suggested a value of $150k) and all items were rated as being in “A” condition.

Nice car but you need to change the timing belt with a new tensioner. the other deal is rust, plus the lower A- frame mount cracks alot. the brakes are easy to work on the rotors are cheap to replace as they use the same parts for other models the carb is a two barrel down draft weber and you can remove the choke plate from the second barrel for more airflow. the motors are interference fit, that means if you jump the timing belt or break it you blow the motor all to hell. valve adjustment is a bitch as they use shims between the camshafts and valve, but not hard if you have the right tools. the rear control arms rust out and the bushings get cracked, I dont car what other folks think about them these are nice fast good handling cars, sorta like a poor mans
