This 1967 Jeep CJ-6A Tuxedo Park (Chassis 8422S10430) is offered by the second owner who has had the truck since 2000. It has always resided in California, where it was purchased new, and remains remarkably original including a long list of cool features including the Warn overdrive and factory hardtop. It has not been molested or modified (no extra holes for roll bars, radios, gauges, etc.), except for an electric fuel pump and a steering stabilizer. According to noted Jeep expert Jim Allen, only 459 of the long-wheelbase CJ-6A units were produced, and this is one of 20 produced in 1967, the final year of production. The vehicle is in original and generally very good condition with great mechanicals according to the seller, who says it drives, runs, and stops well. It can be driven as-is or taken on as a restoration project. It is now available in Sebastopol, California for $5500.
The Tuxedo Park was Jeep’s attempt to market an “upscale” model, with chrome accents and softer springs among other distinctions. (8422 prefix confirms this as an original CJ-6A). All the original Tuxedo Park items are present according to the seller, who does not believe that this truck had the full wheel covers fitted. All rust showing is surface rust from California sunburned paint, with no rust through anywhere according to the seller. It has both original black and yellow California license plates and dealer license plate frames from Pasadena, and the original selling dealer decals are on tailgate and in the engine compartment.

Got it in 68 with 12kmi.I put an Abarth exhaust onit.It had a hardtop for the winter and was warm and dry.In the spring I would take it off and drive with a tonneau cover so only the drivers area was open with the top down. The heater on full blast and I was comfortable.I put in a Blaupunkt AM/FM which was a bog deal back then.I has a bookshelf speaker for the rear seat.I would tune the radio in FM between stations and it would pick up the ignition system.I would accelerate with just the front speaker then at 4krpm turn on the rear speaker. It sounded like a jet taking off, especialy when I was stoned.
