I like Ford first, but I drive a '95 Accord. Not because I think its a better car, I simply got a helluva deal on it and it suits my needs at the present time.
My experiance (after owning over 65 cars from just about every make sold in these Unitied States, with the exception of high end cars like Jaguar, M-B, and BMW) is that although import cars like Honda and Toyota can last a long time, when they DO break, it costs many times what it would cost to fix a domestic with the same problem.
Fine example: I have a 1991 Accord I bought to fix up and resell. It needs (among many other things) a speed sensor. Price? $130! A speed sensor for a '96 Taurus? About $20-30.
