s some of the more veteran members of these Forums will remember I was once the owner of a white Cadillac convertible. The year was 1966 and I had just had my '58 Jaguar XK 150 drophead totalled on a country road outside Decatur, Illinois by a drunk driver who had just gotten out of jail! I had been driving the Jag back to Wisconsin to begin my senior year at the U of W - Madison, when I was suddenly left without a car. Fortunately for me an uncle who had quite a collection of cars had a pretty much "mint" condition 1962 Cadillac convertible that he would sell me for $1100. The car was exactly like the one picture here (except for the added on side body protector molding), being white with dark red and white real leather seat facings (rest of the upholstery was vinyl as was stand for American cars of the era). I cleaned the car up till it was sparkling before I drove on up to Madison.
